Why does House Hounds exist?

With the housing crisis, soaring mortgage rates, cost of living increases, a competitive rental market, mass redundancies and job losses, salaries not keeping up with inflation, and now the removal of the First Home Grant, it's harder than ever to buy into the New Zealand dream.

How do I join House Hounds?

GET VERIFIED
To become a House Hound, you must:

Have a valid NZ Driver's Licence

Live in New Zealand

Have a Credit Score of 700 or more, or a GRI of 70 or more

CHOOSE MEMBERSHIP
You can be a part of House Hounds for up to 9 months for only $49 until the end of 2024. Read more about our introductory membership offer here.

How it Works
Once you're a House Hound, set your property buying preferences so you can be found by others.
Search for members based on where they're looking to buy, what timeframe they want to buy in, and what type of property they're looking for.
Filter your results further on things like if they want to buy a house as an investment or to live in, whether they're looking in the city or at the beach, and even if they're open to having pets at their property.
